Do It Yourself Tropical Fish Medication

If you want to save money and do it yourself tropical fish medication is the answer. Below is the recipe for curing most fish.

 for Making Medicated Fish Food:Instructions
  • Pour a ½ cup of fish food pellets into a bowl.
  • Add ½ tablespoon of Epsom salt and mix well.
  • Add 2 sachets of API General Cure and mix well.
  • Add enough tank water to cover the food.
  • Wait for 30 minutes to allow the pellets to soak up the medication before feeding to your fish.
  • The excess food can be allowed to dry and fed over the next 3 to 5 days.
For best results I would recommend feeding with medicated fish food for a period of 3 to 5 days in addition to treating the tank with medication as per manufacturer’s instructions.
